A personal appeal from RGC's creator:
Roger "Sir-Rogers" Weber

Hey guys, I'm not going to lie, that's me in the picture above, in quite an embarassing situation. However I chose this picture because it brings out who I am. I like to help and I trust people (clearly too much in some cases). I have been the only developer on RGC and I've spent all my time trying to make RGC the best gaming platform. In some ways I have succeeded and in some ways I haven't. Nothing is perfect, but I am planning to keep improving RGC until it is the best platform out there.

Here is the catch: I might not be able to keep on doing that. I have been financing RGC myself, and it is time for me to ask for some support from every single one of you. I think that I have given a lot to everyone, but I cannot keep working alone on RGC. The only way that RGC will get the quality design, and the features that it needs to make a difference is: by getting money.

I personally don't have the kind of money needed for that. I made serious sacrifices to be able to support RGC financially, however all that time there wasn't even a donation button where people could have donated to help. I have been asked about that a number of times now, and my response is simple: I didn't want people to donate money if there is no way for me to see who they are, to be able to give something back to them. I know that may sound counter-intuitive, but that's how I think. I don't like just taking and not giving back.

Now the time has come where I can finally do that. I created an online gateway where you can use Paypal to "buy" RGD (Ranked Gaming Dollars). If you want for me it's more like you donate X amount of money and you get something in return, RGD. What is really cool about it is that it's all automatic, you can then use your RGD in the "shop". I have put out some simple items for now, there WILL be a donation system. So that you can donate your RGD towards the RGC project.

I am well aware that some things on the gaming client are far from ideal. I want to get as close to perfection as possible, I have some great plans for reducing the global leaver and skill difference problem, but it requires so much work that I cannot do it alone. If you believe in RGC, if you believe in me, then please support the project. The future of RGC and your online gaming experience lies in your hands. Thank you.

Regards,
Roger Weber
